Sedimentation – Flocculation of Sludge

Sedimentation in combination with flocculation is a suited system to remove solids from sludge.

The physical and chemical principle is very simple: to the sludge passing through a vessel with inserts that are honeycomb-like there is added a flocculation agent that makes precipitate all solids to the bottom of the vessel. The solids are collected, while the clear water can be discharged to surface or recovered after filtration.

The system is an essencial part of our ZERO WASTEWATER system as it permits to recover more than 95% of all water.

The system needs nearly no maintenance and is incorporated into the general water-management system.
